The new entry level Canon EOS Rebel T2i offers amazing power and features at a price point unheard of just a few short years ago. You could have spent thousands more and not been able to buy a camera with half the capabilities of this little wonder.

If you’re a professional photographer – at a minimum, the Canon EOS Rebel T2i would make a great back-up camera and provide HD video capabilities as a bonus.

Frankly – with access to all of Canon’s excellent EF and EF-S lenses, there’s really nothing (other than possibly your ego), that would keep you as a professional from getting satisfying results with the T2i as your primary camera – the specs are that good. Think of this camera as the Canon 7D’s little brother or sister – and you would be in a pretty good place to wrap your head around the capabilities of this camera. I’ve heard some pros actually say that the Canon EOS Rebel T2i is basically the 7D at half the price. I’m not willing to go that far, but it really is an incredible camera at this price point.

For starters it combines an excellent CMOS sensor configuration that captures an astounding 18 megapixels of data. This is coupled with Canon’s DIGIC 4 Image Processor to produce very fast capture times. Fast enough that you can capture up to 34 JPEG images at a quick 3.7 frames per second pace.

With video continuing to become a must have staple of modern digital cameras, the Canon EOS Rebel T2i has you covered. Capable of handling various video formats and capturing FULL HD video at 1920 x 1080; 30p and 24p for that cinematic look.
